In a major win for sport in Western Australia, TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO) and the WA Government have officially confirmed that a UFC Fight Night will take place on 28 September 2025 at RAC Arena in Perth. Perth Continues Its Rise as a Fight Capital
This will be Perth’s first UFC event since UFC 305: du Plessis vs Adesanya in August 2024, which sold out RAC Arena and broke financial records. Prior to that, UFC 284 in February 2023 brought 14,124 fans through the doors and further cemented the city’s global standing in combat sports.

The September Fight Night will include a bout between featherweights Choi Doo-ho and Daniel Santos, with more fights expected to be announced in the coming weeks. While technically a Fight Night event, there is already growing speculation it could be elevated to a pay-per-view, depending on final match-ups and ticket demand.

Perth's Own Jack Della Maddalena Could, But Most Likely Won't Headline
Fresh off winning the UFC welterweight title in May, Perth native Jack Della Maddalena has publicly stated his desire to defend the belt in front of a hometown crowd. After his title win, Della Maddalena said he would love to face someone like Islam Makhachev in Perth, and UFC president Dana White hinted it could happen if all parties align. Islam has said previously that he doesn't want to travel to Australia again and the UFC is unlikely to book a UFC champion on a 'UFC Figh Night'

While no official main event has been locked in, Della Maddalena’s involvement would all but guarantee a sell-out crowd and worldwide attention.
UFC and WWE Deal Paying Off for Perth
This event is part of a broader commitment by TKO Group to deliver five major events to Perth over two years – two UFC cards and three WWE premium live events. That deal was first struck in early 2025 and aims to showcase Perth as a hub for international sports and entertainment.

WA Premier Roger Cook said these events are not just about sport, but about boosting tourism and the economy. Past events such as UFC 284 and the WWE Elimination Chamber reportedly injected nearly $50 million into the local economy.
TKO executive Peter Dropick added, “Perth continues to prove itself as one of the great hosts for international sports. The city, the fans and the hospitality are all world class, and we’re excited to return.”
